Day 4 Port Aventura

This is the day the adrenaline junkies in the group live for and it didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately the weather forecast of torrential rain proved to be true in the afternoon but  there was glorious sunshine in the morning and we were thankful for that. The massive advantage of going on this trip in October instead of June is that there were minimal crowds at all times and the pupils were able to get on the rides as many times as they wanted with a maximum waiting time being 5 to 10 minutes and most rides having no queue at all. For anyone reading this who has been on a previous trip with queues of  between 1 1/2 and two hours for the big rides, they will know just how incredible this was.
Lots of brave pupils went on the biggest and fastest rides and nearly everyone enjoyed the rapids, log flume and boat splash. Mrs Salt’s favourite bit was the human tumble drier (so to speak) after we all got drenched on the boat splash ride.
It’s our last night tonight and we are on room checks at 10:30 PM with an early start tomorrow morning to head to Camp Nou before going on to the airport. It must be said that our families should be incredibly proud of their children as we have never, in all the trips we have run, had as many compliments about how lovely and well mannered our pupils are as they move out and about in the hotel,  in Salou and in Barcelona. Many hotel staff and guests have approached me to say how impressed they are. They really are a credit to themselves, to their families and to Grosvenor!
