Day 3 Tour of Barcelona

Today we met our tour guide Eva in the Plaça de Catalunya before embarking on a coach tour of Barcelona. We went to the Olympic stadium and the lookout on Montjuic, as well as seeing the  amazing architecture of artists such as Gaudi and Miró. 

 After lunch at the top of Las Ramblas, we went to Parc Guell. We're on the bus home now for the pool or beach before dinner.

Day 2 Montserrat and the aquarium

Today we went on a spectacular cable car ride up to the monastery at Montserrat. The weather cleared just in time.

We then went to the aquarium and shopping centre (I'll not say which was more popular)  followed by our coach journey back to the hotel for the pool and dinner followed by the beach.

Day 1 Barcelona 2018

8am meeting at the airport and we were off, all 40 pupils and 5 staff.  On the coach ride into Barcelona port, the guide pointed out various famous sites in Barcelona, including the cemetery at Montjuic which has family vaults, mausoleums and sepulchral niches above the ground, as well as some of the famous sites including the Olympic stadium.
They won our boat journey around Barcelona airport included lots of interesting information from the boat tour guide about the capacity of Barcelona port and the different boats, cargos and industries there, as well as pointing out different viewpoints of Barcelona.
A somewhat turbulent flight, a mobile left on the plane and a 35 min hike into Salou all added to the experience.
