Day 3 Mountain excursion

Off to the Pyrenees today to visit the city of Jaca and the monastery of San Juan. Mrs Salt's Spanish was put to the test with the very fast speaking guide in the monastery and some suffered a form of altitude sickness with the dizzy heights we reached to get there! 

Day 2 Tour of Huesca

Huesca has some beautiful architecture and lovely areas to walk around. This evening we met at 5pm to do a tour and see some of the sights.

Day 2 School

Today the pupils went to school with their partners. Classes start at 8.30 and go on until 2.30pm. We had a tour of the school and brunch provided by the school before going to classes. Here are some photos. This evening we are meeting up to go on a tour of Huesca. 

Barcelona

Safely arrived in Spain after a thankfully non-eventful flight where at least half the group slept. The Spanish pupils and teachers had come to meet us at arrivals and there was much excitement as we met the people we had been communicating with for so long. 3 people reunited with property they had lost (NOT a good start!) and we jumped on the coach.
We spent the afternoon walking round the beautiful city of Barcelona before heading down Las Ramblas to the port. Some time for food and we're on the bus heading to Huesca. Only 2 more hours to go..
