The day for the adrenaline junkies! Brilliant day today at the theme park, although escapades included Lucy getting stuck on the Stampida rollercoaster (not her fault!) which required two mechanics to come and rescue her. Two boatfuls of Grosvenor pupils and staff ended the day at the Tutuki Splash, where we were literally soaked to our skin. Back to the pool for a quick dip, then dinner and shopping before bed, in preparation for our last day.

Barcelona 25 day 3
Today we travelled to Camp Nou, home of FC Barcelona. The new stadium is still being built, but there is an impressive immersive experience as well as the huge shop and plenty to eat and drink. Lots of presents bought for family and friends as well as football tops and footballs for the pupils themselves. A quick lunch at McDonald’s, where we practised our numbers waiting for orders, then on to the beach in the late afternoon, for some sunbathing, swimming with fish (5 apparently!) and water polo. We’re back at the hotel now, getting ready for dinner before going down to the beach to do Sports Day, Spanish style. One photo included of our lovely beach but without pupils.

Day 2 pm
This afternoon we visited the beautiful city of Tarragona, fairly close to where we are staying in Salou. We stopped off at the Pont Del Diablo aqueduct And then went to the top of the time, to the ruins of the Roman amphitheatre. A late lunch for some of tapas, for others it was McDonald’s. We walked down La Rambla and saw the statue of the Castellers, a local fiesta, where human towers are created between six and ten tiers high.
After that, it was back to the hotel for a cool down in the pool, dinner, and now a room check to see who is allowed to go shopping or not 😂
Words of the afternoon are lo siento (I’m sorry - to get a new room key from reception) and el anfiteatro (amphitheatre)
