LANGUAGE GRADUATES

"Graduates who have studied abroad have international cultural and commercial awareness. We're able to think big, and move comfortably in different surroundings. We're not scared to take risks and try new things. We're always learning lessons."

Days 7 & 8

Day 7 was spent 'en familia' tho the teachers met quite a few up at the Loarre Castle. Mrs Salt's nerves were wrecked when the staff went up to the Vultures' Lookout!
Saturday evening consisted of dinner with partners for L6, a teen disco for the others and a staff dinner for the 3 amigos and their Spanish counterpoints, Marta and Pilar.
It was an early start, meeting at 5am this morning to travel to Barcelona where, despite our arrival in good time, checkin was extremely slow and there was no time for duty free shopping, to the disgust of some.
Can we the staff just take this opportunity to say genuinely what a great bunch of pupils you all were. We were so proud of you for the behaviour you displayed and the character you showed. ¡Muy bien! #ggshuesca2013 #alavengapues #profesorgullosos

Day 6 school and family time

Our week is nearly over, last day in school today. Pupils went to class or studied in the lecture theatre. We met the principal who gave us some souvenirs of our visit before leaving for lunch with the families. Our pupils are with them until Sunday morning although to the great excitement of many, there is an underage disco tomorrow night and we will see lots if then there.

Day 5 Zaragoza

Off first thing to the city of Zaragoza today, or Caesar Augusta as it used to be called in Roman times #interestingfact First we went to the Aljafaría which was very old and very beautiful. We then visited the Roman ruins of the amphitheatre and the forum before going to the cathedral. Then on to the highlight of the visit for some, the shopping centre for a late lunch and some heavy duty shopping.

Day 4 School & Alquézar

Off to school today, quality time together, tiddlypeeps off to class after break and L6 either studying or off to French and English classes.
We had lunch at school (a canteen like most others, not the first choice for food for any pupil!) then off we headed to the mountain village of Alquézar to walk the trail of Las Pasarelas del Río Vero. There were beautiful sights although some were heard to acknowledge their lack of fitness.
